WBCHSE president Muktinath Chatterjee said the state Class XII Board will be overhauled from 2013 as the new syllabus will be put in place. “Even the evaluation system will witness a sea change. It is aimed at providing a level- playing field for students from our board. Once the system is in place, there will be definitely an improvement in the quality of education,” said Chatterjee.

In both the Boards question papers,it has been decided that 50 per cent will be analytical and not descriptive, while the remaining half will be objective type questions. Among the multiple choice questions,20 per cent will be traditional short-type questions and another 30 per cent will be simple multiple choice questions.
